I'm a 1560 guy but I think the list is pretty accurate and fair. Lance is one of the only true Houston fan voices. Clinton, Wessling, Harris, and yourself are there too, Craig.. You can feel the years of sports frustrations that they have shared with us. It gives them a legitimacy that few other guys can claim. They are one of us.

Most of these other guys are just voices transplanted from another city to fill a programming void and don't really know what Houston Sports have been about every year aside from those two magical years with Hakeem. In the interest of full disclosure, I moved here when I was 6 from St.Louis so I may need to check myself...but I'm not on the radio acting like I give a crap about Houston sports. I'm on a blog.

I don't have a problem with transplants but be honest about it.

Great TV segment re: Rooney Rule. Lovie better get a shot somewhere or it's a joke. There were some VERY questionable hires in the NFL this year. It may be the Longhorn in me, but Sumlin deserves a look without a doubt. Caldwell gets run and showed his acumen helping turn around Baltimore's offense leading them to a Championship. Where was the interest in him? Chicago, Cleveland, and Jacksonville all should be put on notice. Hiring an Andy Reid is one thing, but some of these guys just seem like guys just waiting to be fired.

Just my 2cents re: Rooney. Wanted to communicate that to you since I saw the segments but its hard to do on Twitter on such a nuanced topic in a tweet. That's what blogs are for, right?
