ARE THE TEXANS COMMITTED TO THE WRONG RYAN?

Like it or not, six weeks into the 2014 NFL season, Houston Texans head coach, Bill O'Brien, appears locked in on Ryan Fitzpatrick being his guy.
In recent weeks, since the acquisition of backup, Ryan Mallett, from New England, the cry from Texans fans and media to start Mallett over Fitzpatrick has only intensified as the Texans wins and losses leveled off at .500.
Today I spoke to a source with insight on the Texans QB situation who offered the following bullets on Mallett vs. Fitzpatrick:
• It's all about Fitzpatrick, the Texans are fully committed to him right now. I don't believe a change is imminent.
• Ryan Mallett is primarily running with the scout team to get his snaps.
• Mike Vrabel gives Mallett a really hard time in practice, hazing Mallett if he throws a pick or makes a mental error. Tough love in other words.
THE LONG VIEW
It's my personal view that (like it or not) Texans fans have to trust in the process and allow what I believe is a process in its first leg to play out over the next season and a half. The Bill O'Brien "profile" won't be at a gradable level of completion before midway through the 2015 season to the first quarter of the 2016 season.
Texans fans, take a deep breath and bare witness to the fallout of taking over a 2-14 roster of guys who are not your guys.
