JOSH INNES AND LANCE ZIERLEIN  ON AIR, TOGETHER? WTF!

Of course the title is misleading, Josh Innes (WIP 94.1) and Lance Zierlein (KBME 790) buried the hatchet.

WHAT BURIED HATCHET?

Josh worked for Sports Radio 610 for approximately four years.  Josh went at established "local personalities" when he partnered with Rich Lord with more visibility.  Part of the establishment Josh targeted was Lance Zierlein who was currently employed at 1560 The Game.  Lance would jab back on air but 1560 The Game's signal was not as powerful enough to reach a lot of fans.  Twitter was in it's infancy.

During minor jabs between the two "here and there" Lance was was in the process of joining Sports Talk 790's THE BIG SHOW.  A station with much more audience reach than Lance's previous employer.  Lance worked mornings and Josh afternoons. During that time period, there were a couple occasions, the two "twitter fought".

Hind-site, it appeared Josh went out of his way to knock Lance off the mountain.  Lance was/is one of the most popular sports personalities in Houston by way of Sports Radio 610.  Lance is known as the "sports guy" in Houston but in reality, he's just  a "me guy" too.  Me guy, wants the attention.  He is very similar to Josh with a deep sports background.

All in all, Josh and Lance were fierce competitors.  They were not competing via time-slots although later they did battle head to head when Josh was at the end of his tenure in Houston and Lance partnered with Charlie Pallilo.

In short, Lance and Josh did not like each other (professionally)  but a weird thing occurred, Sports Radio 610 (Josh's Employer) hired a personality (Nick Wright) that went at Lance.  Josh being the competitor he is, didn't really care for his coworker Nick either.   It's my guess, both did not like Nick which probably brought them together.  #CommonEnemy

Fast Forward to 2015, Lance and Josh on air together talking 2015 NFL Draft in a cordial manner.

Below is audio of Josh Innes welcoming Lance Zierlein on his show in Philadelphia, hats off to Josh for telling his audience, he and Lance had BAD BLOOD in Houston.   Two dominant personalities in a major market with different styles, Josh and Lance.
