I have tried to theorize why Sports Radio 610 and Sports Talk 790 are getting beat by ESPN 97.5. Logic would dictate, stations with local professional teams should beat a station without a professional, right? WRONG!

Sports Radio 610 has the Houston Texans

Sports Talk 790 have The Houston Rockets and Astros

All three teams are relatively good, so what's the problem! Why these stations cannot dominate a station with no professional partnership?

There are multiple variables at play but I believe the most important variable, are the teams.

In the old days (when I say old days, I mean like 5 years ago), the Professional Team and Station model worked but now we are seeing it's not an automatic.

I first noticed this about 7 years ago when the Dallas Cowboys Flagship (105.3) station was losing to a station (The Ticket) without the Cowboys. The Cowboys is one of the most popular teams in sports. How can a station partnered with the Cowboys be losing to a station without the Cowboys?

If you remember, 105.3 (Dallas) snatched up Gavin Spittle from Sports Radio 610.

As stated earlier, their are multiple variables.

Likable Hosts

Host Content

Lately, The Producers

Program Director

Signal

etc

The Meat

I am using Sports Radio 610 and the Texans for this example, but I could easily use Sports Talk 790 and their relationship with the Rockets and Astros.

In the past, everyone believed they had to talk Texans to stay competitive with SR 610. Most figured "football was king in Houston" and everyone wanted to hear all things Texans. We didn't factor in Rockets and Astros becoming major players and this thing called Social Media.

ESPN 975 is not beholden to any local professional team so they are mandated to exclusively talk about teams they are in partnerships with. ESPN 975 can talk Texans, Rockets, or Astros in a positive or negative manner in addition to talking about.

Game Of Thrones

Prison Radio Shows

Politics

Butt Stank

Strippers

Netflix

Prime

MMA

UFC

UH

Rice

Belches

Snax

JT

Raheel's Beard

Fred's hair

AJ's weekend stories

and a whole plethora of other shit

These are not like mentions, each one of these bullet points are segments and has the potential to drive the whole show.

ESPN975 is not restricted to talk about local professional teams. If there is a big story or a controversial play, it will drive the shows but on a typical day, they are like "fuck the local teams" as a main point of discussion; they will go all types of direction in topics.

If ESPN 975 were reduced to talking simply Texans, Rockets, Astros for the majority of their shows, they would get creamed by the competition. In season, it makes sense to focus on the local team playing but I am beginning to see, a lot of people truly do not give a fuck.

975 has figured out a way to compete with the Legacy Stations without competing with them in their comfort zone.

AJ Hoffman is a cohost of The Blitz ESPN 97.5 4-7p, partnered with Fred Faour. AJ came up through the ranks as an on-air personality but now he's an on-air personality and a Program Director. If you do not know him, AJ is not the person for public chatter and social talk. AJ has made it known, he's not fond of the riff raff but in his new role as a Program Director, he's been listening.

Long story short, Sports Radio 610 has made some changes. Sports Radio 610 fired Rich Lord and Mike Meltzer. The Morning Show for 610 is Seth Payne and Sean Pendergast. The Afternoon show is Clint Stoerner and some dude from Atlanta from NBA TV.

As a Program Director, AJ (who is also a personality in afternoon drive) wanted to see what he was against. AJ scouted 610 new afternoon show and completed obliterated them.

Honestly, I like Clint Stoerner, that down south flavor but this show does not have a chance. Although Clint is from the Houston area and has the "hood slang" , he is not a name in Houston and this other dude is not even worth a Google search.
The Blitz are cruising, HOWEVER

I believe The Bench may have some problems. Damn near 100% of people who listen to Lance Zierlein and John Granato at 7am, tune in to 610 programming at 6am Including John Granato. You can hear Granato piggyback off of 610's topics in the am. But fuck that, I like Granato, the point is, when it was MAD Radio with Seth Payne and Mike Metlzer, a lot of fans used the 6-7a to cross over to LZ and Granato. On average, I listen to 2-3 shows a day at once but most listeners are not like me. I believe with Sean and Seth, there will be a whole lot of fans staying.

Seth is good, the only thing I do not like about Sean, is his smacking lips (and A lot of local personalities has the SMACKING LIPS) transition to other takes, seems like he should be on Montrose Blvd blowing dick but that's besides the point, the dude is good.

Will be interesting to see how AJ will roll. It appears as if AJ do not see a need to move "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Interesting

After I heard the news of Rich Lord and Mike Meltzer's firing, I was like "whoa". Those are some heavy names in the Houston market.

Typically, when big names are fired in Houston, everyone tweet sad shit or their favorite memories of the host. I rather not do that because I know the country club atmosphere of Houston local sports radio.

Country Club - If you are a name in Houston and usually white, you will easily get a job. The talent in Houston is recycled. Rarely is there anything new, we will just hear them on another station.

Instead of singing a swan song, I wanted to approach this from another direction. Recently, Paul Gallant, Mike Meltzer and Rich Lord were let got by Sports Radio 610. No matter how I feel about them, they are Huge names locally.

All of these sub-par talents on other stations should be on alert. They can easily be replaced by either one of these guys or even future fires.

If I'm a marginal radio personality, I would keep my head on a swivel

There is also option B, all three guys will fade in Houston

Mike Meltzer recently finished law school and could easily go make "fuck you" money

Rich Lord is like 60 something and could just fade away into retirement

Paul Gallant could easily go back to Florida or Boston

I can see all three guys replacing a few talents from other stations.
Some caller exchanges need no commentary. This was one of those calls. A caller had an issue with Clint Stoener saying he wouldn't sign Clowney.

The funniest part about this call, after Victor in Angeleton completed his call, Clint asked why do we compare Clowney to Watt. Clint's Cohost Jeremy Branham tried his best to give all of these logical explanations of why people are doing this when the simple answer is race. The next caller immediately after Victor also made it about race.

I think its a silly argument but to act like this shit is not about race is silly at best. Fans are driving the race element because it's an easy comparison.

All and all, it was a good back and forth and I was surprise Clint gave Victor the floor to rant.

This morning on the Bench, Lance Zierlein and John Granato were having a discussion and out of nowhere, Lance spoke about Sports Radio 610.

Lance pretty much hit on the fact how they are Texans "everything". Quickly I tweeted he and John "I told you". It was like I was telling them something new while forgetting, these guys birthed Sports Radio 610 and they already know what the business is.

In other words, I don't think John and Lance need me to tell them, 610 is programmed to the Texans but this morning, I really felt as if Lance may have not really heard 610 in a while. From the way he was speaking, he hadn'te.

Sports Radio 610 is all Texans. Every hour in weekday planning, they will have at least 2 segments of Texans talk. This would be cool from August-January but we are talking March-July. It would also be cool if they could bring interesting Texans topics but its the same ole dribble.

I thought it was really cool for Lance to speak on what he heard and he qualified that he was not going at them. We all know Lance could have went in but he didn't. That being said, 790 is no different, you are going to hear tons of Rockets and Astros talk typically from a fanboy perspective. They are slaves to professional teams.
I really thought this guy was out of my existence but over the last week, his hair has became a topic. Apparently, Nick Wright is growing out his air.

The local and national media has been all over it. Nick use to rock a bald fade and suddenly to see him with hair is a shock to the system for some white people.

This whole story of Nick Wright's hair further explains that most of the media are out of the loop.

Nick is a white young male who think he's black, When the dude was in Houston he would hold up his black wife as a trophy while telling Houston where she worked while she was pregnant. His whole MO was proving how black he was and how white you are.

Nick use to wear bald fade, that's what we normally seen him rocking.
Sometimes we just called it a low cut. Nick is not losing his hair or has a receding hairline or any of that. He was rocking a style blacks normally wore.

If i had to bet money, Nick is growing out his hair for Dred Locks or an Afro. This dude will do whatever it takes to appear black. He probably has on some Jordans right now and if he wasn't on TV, he would probably have THUG LIFE tatted on him.

Bottom line, the dude does not have hair plugs or a hair piece. Fuck around and by Thanksgiving, Nick will have a flat top.

Week before last, Jong was on vacation the whole week. I remember thinking it was strange because everyone just returned Christmas and New Year's vacation. That Tuesday, I begin asking around and everyone said it was just a vacation.

Friday evening, January 8, Jong tweeted the following. Twitter went into a frenzy.

Jong has been with the Blitz since it's inception and the Blitz is kicking ass in ratings. So it's odd, he would up and blaze out. Again, I reached out and I was told by someone Jong is not on-board with some changes that were are about to be made.

Since Jong dropped the news on Friday night, Fred Faour and AJ Hoffman couldn't discuss the issue until Monday. Monday Fred and AJ discussed Jong's departure. To be honest, their segment on Jongwas vague. The only interesting part, AJ mentioned how people are speculating that Jong left him out of farewell tweet which kind of make people think their was something between the two. At the time, I didn't think so because AJ said gracious things about Jong on air. In addition to, Jong and AJ were playing with each other on Twitter #Transition. Audio is below
AJ THE PRODUCER

Friday, the AJ and Fred officially named Jong's replacement as producer and teased another major decision for 6:30.

THOUGHTS

First thing first, I have no dog in this at all. I cut for Jong and AJ. It's just odd, after Dave Tepper left, I thought Jong was promoted to Assistant PD in addition to his producing duties. Jong was actually in management.

This may come off as harsh towards AJ but it's not, if what he portrays about his personality on radio is actually true in real life, I just don't see it. AJ is the opposite of what management is. AJ is not a people's person. Dude complains about everything. I am also not sure how AJ worked for it as the it was said in the audio. Was AJ making moves behind the scenes that were not public? I am not saying, grouchy people cannot be in management, hell Fred is grouch. I'm a damn grouch at times but AJ comes off as an anti-social person.

Hindsight, it always felt like it was something there with AJ and management. Jokingly he would notate the fact that he's not in management and not included in some of things Jong and Fred were. You can even go pull a couple of segments with David Gow, where he made comments about management. All in all, I hope AJ succeeds as PD.

As stated earlier, I like both guys but I have to give Jong a Bravo Zulu for not immediately adding flames. I asked him "what's the deal" and he constantly said, he didn't want to spread anything and it will eventually come out. In other words, without Jong telling the public what happened, everything else is pure speculation.

It has been an interesting year for local radio programming. I wanted to look back at some major events in 2018.

In addition to radio, I am including a few wildcards.

Josh Innes vs Seth Payne - Super Bowl Radio Row Fight

It was long over due and most knew it would eventually happen. Josh had been taking shots of MAD Radio for a while and when Seth had his chance to confront Josh publicly, he pounced. The fight made national news and cause a tidal wave on the local landscape.

From that event

- Mad Radio never won a book again
- Josh and Jayson Braddock nearly fought
- Mike Meltser invoked a person's name (Gavin Spittle) who was not involved in the beef

Super Bowl Fight

Mike Meltser On-Air collapse

Houston Astros newly acquired closer Roberto Osuna sent the City of Houston into a tailspin. Upon learning the Astros acquired Osuna, the City of Houston were at odds but it came to head On MAD Radio when Seth Payne and Mike Meltser were discussing. They disagreed and Mike went on a tirade of Unbearables in the High Pitch Voice Mode.

It made National News and what's odd, many did not discuss what they were at odds about. Of course Sports Radio used and continues to use the on-air skirmish but if you listen closely, Mike expresses that this was not a one time occurrence with Seth and it's hard working with him.

Mike Meltser's Unbearable Breakdown

Patrick Starr's Absence

Earlier in the year, Pat (State of the Texans) went Missing In Action. For a couple of weeks, Twitter was worried about Pat because we never seen Pat go missing as we approached the off-season. Later we learned, Pat was involved a tragic accident. I don't want to go into specifics but the outpouring of love Pat received via charity and donations, made me feel good.

Not only did Patrick's fans show him love but a lot in the Media and the Texans Organization.

He was missed big time and we are happy to have him back.

The Blitz Ratings Run

Fred Faour and AJ Hoffman went on a ratings run out of no where. It's little I can add because I talked about it for a solid year.

One of these days, fans will understand, the media is full of shit. Someone from the local local media will hear a take made by someone else in the media, they will repeat it, other members of the media hears it and they repeat it. Eventually, it filters down to the fans. The fans are key, once it get to the fans, all logic and rationale is gone and that narrative becomes the gospel.

About two weeks ago before the Texans fell to the Colts, Texans Beat Writer John McClain was pushing Bill O'Brien to be considered for Coach of the Year. A few local shows tried to push it, but it didn't stick.

No Excitement for the Texans

Well, the latest narrative is, there is no excitement for the Texans. I am not sure where it came from but just about every show in Houston is running with it. Complete honesty, the origins of where these narratives originate are more interesting than the narrative itself.

My theories:

After the Texans play, Sports Radio 610 is the main station running post game programming. Everyone is listening to them. Something is said on the post game show, competitors grab an interesting take, remix it and regurgitate it to their audience.

Press-box chatter. All of these guys from different stations and publications are in the press-box together. Contrary to popular belief, they do not hate each other, they mingle.

It's all Bullshit

I believe what's really happening in Houston, outside of 2011 maybe 2012, Texans never had any real expectations of post-season success. Not many in Houston believed in Hoyer and Oisweler's chances in the playoffs. Media members are gauging the market by calls and social media based upon 2011 when 2011 was the first damn year the Texans even made it to the playoffs. Of course we were more visibly jacked in 2011.

I see people at my job draped in Texan's and Astro's gear every casual Friday, I see Texans Flags and Decals on cars in my area, and I see Texans flags draped outside of people homes.

Of course, I had to conduct a complete unscientific twitter poll

Here is the trick, if Houston Fans were going OVER THE TOP excited about the Texans, what do you think the media narrative would be? Texans fans are unrealistic if they think this this team is for real. It's all BS!

While at work, I listened to Pat Star's podcast (State of the Texans). Pat dropped a few nuggets the rest of Houston media hadn't provide. While the rest of the local media were stuck on Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts figuring out the Texans Game-plan, Pat was dropping bombs.

Apparently, the Texans are playing Mercilus out of position and don't be surprised if he's gone next year.

A few months ago, I heard Fred Faour (The Blitz) mention how he dislikes how the Texans always run on 1st Down. If you are a Houston fan of any sport and pay attention to local media, you should know the game or how things are done. Major member of the media has a take, fan grabs that take, shops it to another show via calls, social media or a blog like this and VIOLA, it becomes a truth.

After Fred's take back in September, a few fans and media members repeated. It's a very popular thing to say these days.

I almost bought in, but to be honest, it meant nothing because it was verbalized across the airwaves without any benchmarks or comparisons.

It wasn't until a few weeks ago Seth Payne (MAD Radio) said Texans always running on first down is just not true. After Seth notated this, most of 610 personalities jumped on it. At this point, I was not sold on Seth's point either but it did alert me to inquire about the assertion.

I reached out to Patrick Starr (Texans Google) to get the raw numbers of how much the Texans run on First Downs. Of course Pat delivered with more than I asked.

219 rushing plays (3.77 avg)
161 passing (6.72 avg)

They are heavy passing team on 2nd and 3rd downs.

2nd down: 111 rushes | 179 passing
3rd down: 22 rushes | 150 passing

Mathematics

I only focused on first downs

Nothing about these numbers leads me to believe the Texans are always rushing on First Downs. The numbers do not support "Texans always run on first down".

It's a false narrative easy to repeat "on air", it's simply not true. If we were to actually compare the Texans numbers to the league's or even the successful teams, I'd venture to say, it's not all that different.

In 2017, we seen a young man, loop and doop out of bad situation to make a play downfield or scramble. We thought we were receiving that Deshaun Watson in 2018, but we were wrong.

Currently, teams do not respect Deshaun's scrambling ability. Initially I blamed Bill O'Brien for trying to force Deshaun to play a stoic game, but I really don't know anymore. After many mental mistakes by Deshaun, I am beginning to think, Deshaun is the culprit.

I hear fans making excuses with the Offensive Line however the offensive line was just as crappy last year.

Deshaun's legs was the wild card that defenses had to account for, now it's little to no threat at all.

Lastly, Deshaun's pocket awareness is trash. I am not sure if he's waiting for guys to get open or if he still thinks he's at Clemson playing Boston College in the ACC.

Although the Texans have won 7 in a row, this type of QB play is not sustainable with high octane offenses.

What made Deshaun a threat last year is not a threat this year to defenses. No one fears him breaking the pocket and making something happen.

Periodically, I like to let people know what local radio shows I am listening to. There's no science to it, it's simply a range of what I must hear for the duration of the show, down to having a show on for noise.

1. The Blitz - Hands down, it's a show I must listen to in it's entirety daily. The show is the antithesis of "formula radio". They do what they want and if you don't like it, eff you. Fred Faour and AJ Hoffman has one of the best mixtures of sports to non-sports ratio locally. As long as you don't call Fred a Cunt or make shit personal, you can disagree with them and the slate is clean the next day. The only problems I have with the Blitz, the ratings may have went to their head and they beat their chest a little harder. One of the few negatives about their show are their political takes. I believe AJ is slanted while Fred is less slanted but willing to consider all views.

2. Mad Radio - When I wake up, I find myself tuning in a lot to Mad Radio more than I'm willing to admit. Mad Radio receives a solid good hour (6-7) before I start "spot" listening. Mad Radio is 610 so they are deep formula radio, they will not deviate from old style radio. I like Seth Payne and Paul Gallant but Mike Meltser is a different kind of cat. Mike has never said anything wrong to me but I still cannot get over him bringing up Gavin Spittle during the beef with Josh Innes. Mad Radio is a fun and highly intellectual show but they are not as interactive as I would like; they much rather talk to each other.

3. The Bench - Honestly, John Granato and Lance Zierlein can be two because I wake up in the am waiting for 7 AM. John and Lance are very interactive. What I have realized, you can appreciate their style once you realize John's persona. John and lance are probably the best in covering College Football. They are so good in college football, I sort of hate them for it. If John and LZ, does not provide the college you need, they have a College Sports Nerd as a producer who's equally versed on their level. The Bench still has a tad of Secret Society Radio where they are talking to a select audience. John and Lance go through intervals where I have no idea of what they are talking about. I am not a fan of their Monologue/Introduction segment. I understand being different from the market but some of the topics they lead with can be a buzz kill

4. Sean Salisbury Show - I love Sean's "eff you, pay me" tenacity . Sean is all energy and he merges his personal professional experiences to today's world of sports. I like the way Sean has structured his show with a trailing question. He leads off his show with a question of the day while he discuss the major issues. At any given point of his show, he will receive feedback on his question. There are a few times I have heard him put Michael Connor on Chill Mode and allowed the caller to state their point. If you do not know, Michael Connor (Cohost) is quick to go into Fan Mode and start screaming.

5. In the Loop - I really like In the Loop's energy. They have lots of fun and John Lopez is more entertaining. John Lopez is keeping up with the Young Bucks. They are formula like Mad Radio but they seem to have much more fun and relax in their language. In the Loop is the one show on 610 that will not shade their opinions on the Texans. You are not going to hear them go in on the Texans one day, and apologizing the next. They are interactive with callers and texts but ignore Twitter. This show has potential to be special if they can put it all together, I just can't put my finger on it

The Texans last two games, former Texans (Case Keenum and DJ Swearinger) made comments about Bill O'Brien.

Denver Bronco's Case Keenum said O'Brien told him he would be at best a Third String Quarterback. Washington Redskin's DJ Swearinger said O'Brien treated him unprofessional.

I am not a fan of Bill O'Brien but in both cases, I can totally see O'Brien acting the way described and I'm totally cool with it.

Although the Texans rescued Keenum from a deer blind, the dude was trash. As far as Swearinger, this dude was a walking "eff up". On the field, he was a collection of mental errors which lead to penalties, his dog bit Clowney, trouble behind his truck and lastly he revealed too much information. In Houston, Swearinger was "Can't Get Right" from the movie Life.

After Clowney got injured his rookie season, there was controversy about NRG's turf playing a part in it. While O'Brien recycled the same generic non information crap, Swearinger went on The Blitz with Fred Faour and AJ Hoffman and spilled the beans. Just so happens, Bill O'Brien was on air (same time) with Sports Radio 610 conducting his coaches show and saying the turf had nothing to do with Clowney's injury.

Seth Payne

It's not a matter of right and wrong but two separate occasions, Seth has made the same comment. Seth believes it's possible that Keenum and Swearinger may have heard O'Brien wrong. From everything I've heard from Seth on both issues, he does not believe the situation went down the way the players are presenting it years. I get what Seth is saying, and I am not saying it's wrong but what do we have to go on to prove O'Brien wouldn't say anything like that?

After hearing some of the things Bill O'Brien has publicly said to the media, I believe that guy is capable of saying anything. Earlier this year, O'Brien said it was not his job to call a timeout. If Seth didn't know O'Brien and someone told him O'Brien said that, I'm guessing Seth would say "that was taken out of context".

I believe Seth may be looking at these situations with O'Brien as a negative when it's truly not locally. No one gives a flying crap about Keenum and Swearinger crying after the fact. Their stay in Houston was nothing to brag about and I doubt if any fans are pissed at O'Brien for hurting their feelings.

A listener of ESPN 97.5 has been riding John Granato. Apparently he heard John use the word "nigga" on air. He has tagged a lot of people in this audio and finally this morning he called in. I heard the call but had no idea what they were talking about.

Lance Zierlein and Del defended John saying "he would never say that". John begged Del to play the audio again to prove he didn't say it but Lance and Del advised not to that. Finally, Del said I don't want to do that. My guess, "why feed the trolls".

OK, I heard the audio and it does sound like Nigga but giving the context of what he was talking about, I don't see how it would fit. I don't believe the word Nigga was said purposely if at all. Who in the hell John can be talking to who is black that would be ok with him saying that. I am sure this is cool for the younger generation.
What's even more weird about this situation. It appears the dud was listening LIVE and decided to turn it up and Video at the same time? Something is this milk ain't clean
I was listening to Denver Sports Radio. They all want Vance Joseph fired. Something came up, I never heard in Houston though. Apparently, John Elway was ready to fire Vance Joseph if the Texans had fired Bill O'Brien. It's not Breaking News or anything but it was interesting because I never heard it before.
After Jayson Braddock put Josh Innes on blast Thursday, Josh answered on Friday. I am not sure if Josh has a "gag order" preventing him from saying Jayson's name or he does not want to say his name on air.

In the audio below, Josh referred to the Super Bowl situation in "hypotheticals" clearly referring to Jayson.

Several times, Josh referenced Jayson threatening women. Also, he referenced how it was all caught on tape. I am more surprised in 2018, video of radio personalities about scrap is not public.

The funniest part about all of this, Josh talks all of this cash noise about people, but when someone charges him up, we get phrases like "he accosted me".
Jayson Braddock is back on the air at KTXF - "Houston Preeminence"<span style="color: #333333; font-family: , "texgyreherosregular" , "helvetica" , "tahoma" , "geneva" , "arial" , sans-serif;"> . Enough of the formalities, after Jayson's hiatus from radio, he's return with a vengeance with his sites set on Josh Innes.

Josh Innes restroom adventures with Jim Mudd

The creation of his company

Jayson's show is raw as hell. It's not terrestrial radio so he's relaxed with the language and I like it.

If you are confused, during the Super Bowl, Josh and Seth Payne got into an altercation. All of Sports Talk 790 got kicked off of radio row. Jayson, Sean Jones and Adam Clanton had broadcast from a hotel room. During their broadcast, Jayson went in on Josh on the air. During the break, Jayson was about to fight Josh in the hotel.

Jayson did not return to the show and was suspended. He finally returned to the air and was later fired.

Trying to understand local sports ratings in Houston is about as convoluted as Donald Trump claiming a bigger inauguration crowd than Barack Obama.

I am sure University of Central Florida (UCF) is also laughing at multiple stations and shows boasting the number one spot.

There has been some confusion in Houston about ratings. What's perfectly clear, Sports Radio 610 is dead ass last. Sports Talk 790 and ESPN 975 both are claiming number one. It's a situation where both are technically correct and the public will never get a definitive answer nor an explanation.

One of the main problems, ESPN's time structure is fragmented, it's not the traditional schedule we are accustomed to locally. Both stations are claiming time slots when their time slots do not align. Personally, I would side with 790 because that's more of the norm than 975.

Lets be real, if the Bench are claiming number one based upon 2 hours, then some show could claim number one based upon one hour. Fair is fair, if you are winning your slot then you can say you are one in your slot.

I do not believe 790 is focused on 97.5, their focus appears to be 610 because it's useless and convoluted trying to compare yourself to a station with different time slots. Outside of outright domination such as the Blitz, the cross comparison is useless.

Although I said The Blitz is dominating, even that is questionable because they are combining the simulcast of 94.1. I will give the Blitz credit for trying to explain the nuance in the time slots. Sports Talk 790 do not.

The only way the public is going to know, is if the public receives hourly internal breakdowns. Yes, they do have the internals. Until then, we will continue to have dual ones.

As stated earlier, the Sports Radio 610 being dead ass last is more of the story to me. We are in football season, the Texans have DeShaun Watson. The anticipation of Watson alone should be enough to garner listeners but its not. Sports Radio 610 is the Flagship station of the most popular team in Houston and they are last? That's unheard of.
