For the longest I've heard rumblings about the Houston Texans Turf.  Commonly, some of us Radio Junkies made jokes about the turf.

Today was truly odd.  It was speculated that Houston Texans OLB Jadeveon Clowney was injured because of the turf.



Both, DJ Swearinger and Bill O'Brien have local shows in Houston with two different stations.  Bill O'Brien has one with Marc Vandermeer and John Harris from 5-6p on Sports Radio 610 (Texans Radio). DJ Swearinger has one with Fred Faour and AJ Hoffman from 6:30-7p on ESPN 97.5.

On Bill O'Brien's coaches show he was asked directly if the field was an issue, he replied no.  Later, DJ Swearinger was asked by Fred and AJ, if the turf was an issue, and he went into depth with specifics.

What was odd in the Bill O'Brien's Show, he had just said how the communication on game-day could be better between the sideline and the coaches box. He spoke about being on the same page and receiving timely information,  Since the draft we have heard, Clowney tell the media some things that O'Brien wouldn't have and now DJ Swearinger and he are delivering different responses to the field turf.  From the outside looking, it appears the coach and the players may also need to tighten up their communication.
