Stealing is stealing, stop jacking Josh Innes Material

Written by: Lamont

Monday, Lance Zierlein elaborated about a person stealing his NFL Material.  It was a flat out jack move.   I won't go into details but a guy copy and pasted Lance's material verbatim.

Lance took to twitter to put the guy on blast.  It was warranted.  As Lance continued to tell the story, I begin to think, the main premise is stealing material. Sports Talk Radio's whole culture is built on borrowing or stealing material.  I see it daily from Local to National or Local to Local.

Lance could go on his show and drop something, and the whole market will run with it like its the gospel.

The person who's been jacked the most in Houston is Josh Innes.  Josh has used a variety topics I am 100% certain I never heard before in local radio that I hear commonly all over the airwaves

  • Pulling Back the Curtain - Josh's way of letting the audience know what really happens behind the scenes in radio
  • Buc-ee's Restrooms - During Josh's first stint in Houston, he put Buc-ee's on the map.  I didn't know until he mentioned them that their restrooms were a big deal
  • Fake Media Laugh - This is the one more commonly used throughout Houston now but when Josh was at 610, he would go after kiss asses for laughing at lame shit by a Player or Management.
  • Z Dog - For nearly a year, Josh would talk about a Jazz fan who tries to rap about opposing teams, now I am hearing in various shows.
Of course everyone now will say they have been saying these things because it's so damn common now in Houston but I listen to radio faithfully and they are lying.

The bottom-line, sports radio is built on jacking material.  If Sports Radio was Hip Hop, some fools would get their ass beat, its considered Biting or Swagger Jacking.  I believe what happened to Lance is perceived more shitty because it's print but Sports talk do the same thing.

There is very little originality in Sports Talk now.
