HOUSTON LOCAL MEDIA'S FAVORITE GUITARIST
We may not agree on everything but the thing we all can agree on is Sports and Music. A while back, I asked individual media personalities "who was there favorite guitarist". I love music second to football so this was right up my alley. Thanks to all of the media and fans who participated.
I will start off by saying my favorite guitarists are Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Prince and Slash. I love Jimi Hendrix because he was nasty, talented, and before his time. I am not head over heels when it comes to his vocals but that boy can handle an axe.

WRAP IT UP
As I received the personalities' feedback, 2 things jumped out: No Slash, Stevie Ray Vaughn multiple appearances. Honestly I thought Slash would be like the consensus since I like him so much but I guess he is two commercialized. In all seriousness, after looking at the artist there are two artist who's catalog will be in my possession by week's end: Muddy Waters and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Muddy Waters simply because he's a black artists I have heard the older generation reference in addition to Max and ND. I feel like an idiot saying this but I always thought SRV was C&W music which means negative for me. I could be dead wrong about SRV but the shire curiosity has me wanting to hear how he tame the axe.

First, there is nothing wrong with country when it's done right. Problem is that Na$hville does not care to do it right.
Second, SRV is blues/rock.
Third, you should check out some of the blues guys like Muddy. They influenced Jimi and as well as the British guys from the '60s.
Finally, my favorite is Mississippi John Hurt.
Gman good stuff, I will take up those recommendations LM
One of the baddest dudes to ever pick up a guitar, Dimebag Darrell should be right up there with the all time greats.
