STEPHEN A. SMITH & LEBRON JAMES - LM

This article was written in mid June 2011 but never posted.  Every time, I hear, read or see Stephen A. Smith, I will always think about the Lebron James v Rashard Lewis rumor.  I do not believe Stephen spoke the rumor but he didn't make the situation better in my opinion.

I can tell you one thing, this media crap is brutal.  In media the word friend, patna, kinfolk, bro, bud or pal do not exist.  On the local level, I look at how the media operate and I laugh at the "hate" between competitors.  I despise the national media but when I peep something that catch my attention, I raise an eyebrow.  Stephen A. Smith!!!!

THE NASTY WET SPRAY FART

Have you ever seen or read something that did not correspond to your fiber as a man and you had that look as if you just smelled the stankiest fart out of a human ass.  I am not with paraphrasing or quoting on this one but Stephen haphazardly cosigned a rumor.


LOOSE LIPS SANK SHIPS

I learn at a young age, keep your mouth shut.  I was about 8 years of age chilling on the cut with my dad, a woman came by and gave all the fellas gratitude, I couldn't wait to get home and tell my moma.  I get home and told my moma and out of nowhere a backhand to the mouth by my mother and she said "loose lips sank ships".  It was at that point I learned to shut up.  Stephen A. Smith couldn't have come up in my home after this LeBron rumor.

A nasty rumor came out about LeBron James during the championship series against the Mavericks.  Stephen A. Smith name is attached to the rumor for saying he know of a personal problem but he is not telling.  Man WTF, just shut up.  How BUSH is that to say "I know something but I aint going to tell you".    I like to bring things to a realistic "hood" level, imagine if Stephen was your friend and he knew some of your personal business and he did that.  How would you feel?

To make matters worst, after dry snitching, he comes back and blast everyone for speculating about the rumor.  I simply can't believe he's getting away with this.  In a roundabout way he reminds me of a historical figure Ralph Abernathy that wrote a book in his last days spilling the beans about he and his best friend's (Martin Luther King Jr.).  Would this story have taken it's form if a credible person of Stephen's caliber wouldn't have elaborated?

I like Stephen but this was a major slip in my opinion.  The hell he think, he is singing like a canary.  I am not advocating the rumor had anything to do with the outcome of the series however I am from a school of thought, shut up or represent the stuff you say.  Is gossip becoming a part of Sports?  That's all this stuff is, teenage girl gossip.When will these guys learn, we do not want to hear about these professional's personal lives.  I don't give a damn about LeBron's personal crap so why even allude to knowing something.
